Job summary

Massachusetts Gaming Commission is seeking a Financial Investigations Manager to lead a team of investigators focused on background reviews for licensure in a gaming regulatory environment. You will assess financial integrity and background of casino operators, high‑level casino employees, and vendor entities in Massachusetts.

The ideal candidate will have advanced accounting knowledge, strong financial analysis and reporting skills, and management experience in a regulatory context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CFA, CFE, CMA) indicating competence in accounting, auditing, tax, banking, or business valuations.
• Five to seven years of experience in accounting, audit, tax, finance, or regulatory role.
• Experience in regulatory agency or casino gaming preferred.
• Three years of management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to a team of up to five Financial Investigators, including assignment and management of cases, oversight of investigations, and escalation of high‑risk issues.
• Collaborate with Project Manager and State Police to synchronize investigations and update protocols for license applications.
• Evaluate compliance of casinos’ financial controls with regulatory standards.
• Travel to supervise and conduct document reviews and interviews for licensure.
