Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Gaming Attendant for Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming in Calvert City, Kentucky. The role focuses on safeguarding gaming assets while delivering outstanding customer service and processing jackpots quickly and accurately.

You will support gaming operations, assist guests, and help ensure compliance with gaming regulations as part of a dynamic, high-traffic facility at I-69 & I-24. This is a full-time, on-site position with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required; gaming experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

• Provide a fun, engaging, and welcoming gaming experience for guests.
• Witness and verify gaming jackpots.
• Perform jackpot payouts and paper fills.
• Make minor repairs to gaming equipment as needed.
• Monitor assigned gaming areas for illegal activity, suspicious behavior, or policy violations, and report findings promptly.
• Be comfortable working in smoking areas for extended periods.
• Provide change to customers promptly and accurately.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that reflects positively on the property.

Pay Range:

Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming is a newly constructed facility in a high-traffic area in Calvert City, Kentucky at the intersection of I-69 and I-24. The Property will feature nearly 240 state‑of‑the‑art historical racing machines (“HRMs”), a sports bar and a retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering, and food and beverage offerings. The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for leading the successful overall direction, administration, and coordination of all operating activities of Marshall Yards Racing & Gaming including Pre-opening activities, culture creation, staffing, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the ongoing operations of historical racing machine operations, gaming operations, simulcast operations, sportsbook operations, and entertainment operations.

JOB SUMMARY

The Gaming Attendant is responsible for safeguarding gaming assets while delivering outstanding customer service with a heavy emphasis on processing jackpot payouts quickly and accurately. This position plays a key role in creating a fun, engaging gaming experience by assisting guests, supporting marketing promotions, and ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
• Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 1 year of customer service experience required; prior gaming experience preferred.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
