Job summary

Five Star Parks & Attractions is seeking a part-time Game Technician to service Scene75 Chicagoland in Romeoville, IL. The role involves repairing attractions, performing preventative maintenance, and handling game floor calls during operations.

You’ll work under the Technical Manager, test games weekly, stock prizes, and keep a clean, safe workshop. Prior experience not required, but a mechanical mindset helps.

Qualifications

• Must be available on weekends.
• No prior experience or training. Some mechanical background preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Responsibilities

• Handles calls on the game floor, bowling, and simulators.
• Performs basic preventative maintenance on machines.
• Informs Technical Manager of potential machine problems.
• Test every game every week.
• Complete weekly projects and tasks.
• Complete weekly maintenance sheet as assigned by Technical Manager.

• Maintains a neat and orderly workshop.
• Ensures that all self-contained games are stocked with prizes.
• Maintains a safe work environment and ensures stafffollowsall safety rules.

Job Summary:

Game Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of the attractions and arcade games at Scene75. With direction from the technical manager, they perform all preventative maintenance on machines and fix machines that are broken. During operational hours, they are also responsible for taking calls about games not functioning properly, maintaining stocking levels in instant win games, and keeping the facility clean.

Qualifications, Education, & Requirements:

• Must be available on weekends
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilityrequired.
• No prior experience or training. Some mechanical background preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
• Ability to read andcomprehendsimple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of fractions and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Arcade Game Techniciansmust have a technical disposition. This is an entry level technical position, so many of the skills can be taught, however these attendants must have a natural attention to detail, willingness to learn, self-drive, and technical mindedness.

Position starts between $15-18 per hour.
