Five Star Parks & Attractions is seeking a Part-Time Game Technician to maintain and repair attractions and arcade games at Scene75 Chicagoland in Romeoville, IL. The role involves responding to game issues during operating hours, performing routine preventative maintenance, and keeping the facility tidy and stocked.

With no prior experience required and a mechanical bent preferred, you will work under the Technical Manager to ensure games run smoothly, handle guest calls, and assist with weekly

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required; mechanical background preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Responsibilities

• Handle calls on the game floor, bowling, and simulators.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines.
• Inform Technical Manager of potential machine problems.
• Test every game weekly.
• Complete weekly projects and tasks.
• Complete weekly maintenance sheet as assigned by Technical Manager.
• Complete weekly cleaning checklist.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workshop.
• Ensure that all self‑contained games are stocked with prizes.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure staff follows all safety rules.
• Maintain game appearance and stocking throughout open hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Game Technicians are responsible for the repair and maintenance of the attractions and arcade games at Scene75. With direction from the technical manager, they perform all preventative maintenance on machines and fix machines that are broken. During operational hours, they also take calls about games not functioning properly, maintain stocking levels in instant win games, and keep the facility clean.

Qualifications, Education, & Requirements

• Must be available on weekends.
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• No prior experience or training required; mechanical background preferred.
• Working knowledge of the Internet and Microsoft Office Professional.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
• Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of fractions and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Arcade Game Technicians must have a technical disposition. This entry‑level technical position can be taught, but attendants must have natural attention to detail, willingness to learn, self‑drive, and technical mindedness.
