Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking an HHR Performance Supervisor in Atmore, AL to oversee maintenance, installation, and repair of Historical Horse Racing machines. You will supervise, train and guide staff, coordinate with IT and other departments, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

The role requires 3+ years in gaming, supervisory experience, and an Associate’s Degree in a related field. Expect irregular hours, travel if needed, and a dynamic casino environment.

Qualifications

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment.
  • Associate’s Degree in Related field – required.
  • Two years’ Supervisory experience – required.
  • One year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department – required.
  • Two years’ experience in HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Performance – required.
  • Three or more years of recent and related gaming experience in a casino operation – required.
  • One year experience providing supervision, training and guidance to co-workers – required.
  • Formal training in repair and troubleshooting of mechanical and/or electronic equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to write routine correspondence.
  • Willingness to stay current on gaming technology and basic computer skills.
  • Must pass job interview, including guest service audition.
  • Willing to travel and work flexible hours; valid driver’s license.
  • Must obtain/maintain any applicable licenses; able to work in smoke environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures operating policies and procedures are followed, including MICS/TICS and internal controls for HHR operation
  • Observes machine vendors for policy adherence
  • Coordinates with HHR Performance Manager on projects, scheduling, recognition and discipline, and outages
  • Assist management with safeguarding gaming machines and maintaining repair parts and inventory
  • Inspects machines daily and coordinates movement of electronic bingo machines and equipment
  • Maintains positive relationships with IT, HHR Operations, Beverage, Housekeeping and Security
  • Contributes to achieving service time targets, uptime targets and project milestones
  • Provides exceptional customer service and maintains a professional work environment

Education

High School diploma or GED
Associate’s Degree in Related field
Two years of Supervisory experience
Dual-Rate Supervisor experience (Wind Creek Hospitality)
Two years of HHR Performance experience
Three+ years gaming experience in casino operations
Supervision, training, and guidance to co-workers
Ability to perform bench level electronics work
Excellent written and verbal communication
Valid state-issued operator driver’s license

Job Overview

The HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Performance Supervisor must be knowledgeable in all aspects of machine operations and is responsible for the maintenance and repairing of the machines. The HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Performance Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision, training, technical direction and guidance to co-workers in installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing of all HHR machines.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Ensures that applicable operating policies and procedures are consistently followed,

including Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS and TICS) and financial internal controls related to HHR (Historical Horse Racing) operation

  • Observes machine vendors to ensure adherence to applicable policies and procedures
  • Regularly communicates and coordinates with the HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Performance Manager on projects, personnel issues including scheduling, recognition and discipline, existing and emerging HHR (Historical Horse Racing) technology, HHR (Historical Horse Racing) and system outages
  • Assist HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Department management with the safeguarding of gaming machines and other gaming technology including but not limited to maintaining HHR (Historical Horse Racing) repair parts, inventory, and inventory logs
  • Inspects machines and equipment daily, assists in coordinating movement of electronic bingo machines, requisitions of parts, supplies, forms and other required equipment for the efficient operation of the department
  • Models and maintains positive working relationships with other key gaming related and service departments including by not limited to IT, HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Operations, Beverage Service, Housekeeping and Security
  • Assist HHR Department management in team accountability in the achievement of service time targets, scheduled project work, HHR (Historical Horse Racing) and system uptime targets, and other benchmarks or targets that management deems applicable
  • Provides exceptional customer service and maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff
  • Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older

  • Associate’s Degree in Related field– required
    • OR Two (2) years’ Supervisory experience– required
    • OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department – required
    • OR Two (2) years’ experience in HHR (Historical Horse Racing) Performance– required
  • Three (3) or more years of recent and related gaming experience in a casino operation, preferably installing, servicing, adjusting and repairing electronic gaming machines as a technicianrequired
  • One (1) year experience providing supervision, training, technical direction and guidance to co-workers – required
  • Experience in performing “bench level” electronic work– preferred
  • Formal training in the repair and troubleshooting of a variety of mechanical and/or electronic equipment
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to write routine correspondence; Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Willing and able to stay current on gaming related technology; Possess adequate computer skills and working knowledge of electronics
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Willing and able to walk for the duration of the shift
  • Willing and able to bend, stoop and kneel
  • Able to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. Corrective lenses are ok in meeting these requirements
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Willing and able to work odd and irregular hours including holidays, promotions and weekends
  • Must have and maintain valid state-issued operator driver’s license
  • Willing and able to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain any applicable license as a requirement for this position
  • Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
