Job summary

Pacers Sports & Entertainment in Indianapolis is seeking a Game Operations Intern for Spring 2027 (January - May). This on-site internship supports coordination of talent for Pacers, Fever, and Boom home games, and assists with mascots appearances and on-floor game activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
• Sports Marketing or Sports Management major preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including over the phone.
• Efficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office.
• Strong writing skills.
• Detail-oriented nature.
• Ability to deal with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
• Ability to keep track of multiple calendars.
• Good driving record (valid driver's license is required).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and transportation of talent for NBA, WNBA, and G-League mascots, including driving the company van to appearances with mascots.
• Assist the mascots and Power Pack in their appearances.
• Assist with general office duties and game preparation.
• Assist in coordination and on floor execution of game timeouts; contests; game activities and events prior to, during, and after games.
• Assist with lifting and transporting boxes to and from the Fieldhouse.
• Concourse setup/tear down before and after games.
• Sit in on all Game Operations and Marketing meetings.
• Participate in various assignments and projects including interaction with other NBA, WNBA, and G-League teams.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Internship Term: Spring 2027 (January - May)

Internship Location: on-site in Indianapolis, IN

Anticipated Time Commitment: approximately 20 - 25 hours per week

Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Game Operations Intern that will assist in the coordination of talent for Pacers, Fever, and Boom home games; assist with the Pacers, Fever, and Boom mascots on their appearances; assist with the Fever Inferno and Indiana Pacemates on their appearances; assist with the set-up/tear-down concourse entertainment for Pacers, Fever, and Boom home games; and assist in coordination and on-floor execution of game timeouts, contests, game activities and events prior to, during, and after games.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Assist in the coordination and transportation of talent as they pertain to our NBA, WNBA, and G-League mascots, including driving the company van to appearances with mascots.
• Assist the mascots and Power Pack in their appearances.
• Assist with general office duties and game preparation.
• Assist in coordination and on floor execution of game timeouts; contests; game activities and events prior to, during, and after games.
• Assist with lifting and transporting boxes to and from the Fieldhouse (must be comfortable lifting heavy objects).
• Assist with concourse setup/tear down before and after games.
• Sit in on all Game Operations and Marketing meetings.
• Participate in various assignments and projects including but not limited to interaction and information exchange with other NBA, WNBA, and G-League teams.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sports Marketing, Sports Management, or other related major preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including over the phone.
