Job summary

Pacers Sports & Entertainment is seeking a Digital Content Intern for Spring 2027 in Indianapolis, IN. The role supports content ideation, social channels, game coverage, websites and apps, copywriting, graphics, practice interviews, photo galleries and video highlights.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a college program (junior/senior/graduate) with WordPress and Adobe Photoshop or Premiere familiarity, and able to work 2–3 days in office weekly plus evening/weekend game coverage.

Qualifications

• Maintain professional, journalistic relationships with players and coaches.
• Able to work two to three days in office per week, plus games in evenings/weekends.

Internship Term: Spring 2027 (January - May)

Internship Location: On-Site in Indianapolis, IN

Anticipated Time Commitment: approximately 20 - 25 hours per week

The Digital Content Intern will assist in the content ideation and creation for Pacers Sports & Entertainment social channels, including Pacers, Fever, Boom, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse, as well as assist with game coverage, websites and apps, copywriting, graphics, practice interviews, publish photo galleries, video highlights and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with coverage during Pacers, Fever & Boom games (including nights and weekends), inclusive of editing photo and video content.

• Assist in the copywriting of social captions.
• Curate photo galleries and highlights for team website and distribution among players.
• Shoot and edit video interviews and highlights from team practices and games.
• Shoot social-style video with high-end smartphones or more advanced cameras.
• Assist in covering practice and postgame media availabilities.
• Transcribe press conference quotes for web and social content.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Enrolled in college or university program as a junior, senior, or graduate student.
• Familiarity with WordPress.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Premier required, both a plus.
• Ability to maintain professional, journalistic relationships with players and coaches.
• Ability to work two to three days in office per week, plus games during evenings and weekends.
