POSITION TITLE: Game Development Adjunct

POSITION STATUS: Adjunct

REPORTS TO: Program Director

JOB SUMMARY: The Instructor is responsible for teaching students techniques and pipelines within the Video Game field, delivering courses twice weekly, covering topics such as game engine programming, game development, and game theory.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Teach course content during scheduled class times (typically 2.5 hours per week)
  • Grade student projects and assignments promptly (typically 1-3 hours per week)
  • Constructively critique student work for improvement
  • Provide additional learning materials and opportunities
  • Align teaching with program outcomes and syllabus approved by the Program Director

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with +3 years of professional experience

Experience:

  • Over 3 years of experience in video game or application development
  • Managing team-based projects

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in C#
  • Expertise in Unity 3D Engine
  • Experience with multiplatform deployment
  • Understanding of the entire game development pipeline
  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine is a plus
  • Familiarity with project management methods such as SCRUM and Agile is a plus
