Job summary

Duke Athletics is seeking a Resource Acquisition Game Day Assistant to support planning, coordination and execution of hospitality events for Duke University’s intercollegiate sports programs.

The role emphasizes event setup, day-of-event coordination and weekend hours, with a maximum of 19.9 hours per week and no graduate degree required. Prior experience in marketing or events is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in marketing, event management or special events at collegiate or professional level preferred, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service, event management, operations.
• Ability to handle physical work with long hours and weekends; must lift/move 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Max of 19.9 hours/week, including event operating hours with night/weekend hours.
• Handle set ups and breakdowns for events within Resource Acquisition.
• Serve as day-of-event coordinator at events.
• Perform other duties as directed.
