The California Department of Justice, Division of Law Enforcement, Bureau of Gambling Control, is seeking an Analyst II in the Licensing Game Review Unit in Sacramento. The role requires analytical, regulatory, and investigative skills to review gaming activities and apply California gambling laws.

You will interpret and apply regulations, prepare written approvals or denials, and provide training to Licensing Analysts and Special Agents.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply gambling laws and regulations in the review of complex applications for new games or activities.
• Prepare written rules and letters on approvals/denials; conduct oral briefings to management.
• Train Licensing Analysts, Field Representatives, and Special Agents on approved games.
• Produce written approval letters following established criteria; review regulatory mandates.
