Job summary

Galveston County Human Resources seeks a Telecommunicator to operate in the communications center, answering a high volume of telephone and radio calls and coordinating emergency services.

• Assists in the training of new personnel.
• Assists in the maintenance of the communications center.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enters critical and confidential law enforcement data into TCIC and NCIC databases.
• Assists in the training of new personnel.
• Assists in the maintenance of the communications center.
• Performs related work as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• Requires completion of one-year probation.
