Job summary

Valmont Group is seeking a Galvanizing Services Technician in Valley, NE to perform welding, fabrication, and material handling within a galvanizing environment. The role requires operating forklifts and overhead cranes, conducting inspections, and adhering to Valmont and customer quality standards.

The incumbent will complete the AGA Inspection Course within 30 days and wear all PPE while working in a non-temperature-controlled setting.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of relevant experience.
• Six months of welding experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to pass level 1 welding capability test on site.
• Ability to read and follow English instructions and safety rules.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks including cutting, grinding, and fitting for galvanizing.
• Operate forklifts to move material.
• Operate overhead bridge cranes to move loads.
• Inspect materials for ASTM A123 compliance and customer specs.
• Complete AGA Inspection Course within 30 days of employment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
