Job summary

Seaward Services seeks a Steward to support the Head Steward aboard Training Support Vessels (TSVRON). You will assist with meal preparation, food service, sanitation and housekeeping to keep the galley clean and habitable for crew during missions.

Must hold a U.S. Coast Guard MMC for Steward's Department with FH, STCW basics, TWIC, and be eligible for a U.S. passport. Living in the Norfolk area and the ability to lift and work in a galley are required.

Qualifications

• Valid MMC endorsed for Steward's Department with Food Handler.
• STCW Basic Training and VPDSD.
• TWIC credential and U.S. passport eligibility.
• Medical clearance and annual screenings for food handlers.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Steward with meal prep, serving, and cleanup.
• Keep galley, messing areas, and accommodations clean.
• Ensure clean crockery, utensils, and equipment availability.
• Handle waste in line with vessel procedures.
• Stock, organize, and maintain galley inventories.
