Job summary

Goodwill Great Lakes seeks a Food Service Direct Labor Trainer to lead onboarding and ongoing training for hourly Galley staff at Naval Station Great Lakes. You will develop SOP-aligned training, ensure policy adherence, and coordinate with the Workforce Development Team for AbilityOne programs.

The role involves planning complex projects, overseeing turnover, and supporting leadership in change management while maintaining contract compliance and a focus on professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education or equivalent with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Valid driver's license and Real ID required.
• Must successfully complete and maintain ServSafe certification.
• Exceptional writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to facilitate training materials and new employee orientation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver expert on-the-job training to incoming and existing Galley Food Service hourly employees.
• Ensure employees are trained to meet operational requirements and SOPs.
• Coordinate with Workforce Development Team for AbilityOne program training.
• Plan, execute, and oversee projects related to Galley functions and implement change management.
• Partner with Process Review for onboarding and training of new staff.
• Serve as backup for Process Review Evaluators when needed.
• Engage in problem solving, apply data insights, and follow established procedures.
