Goodwill Great Lakes is seeking an Assistant Director of Food Service Operations to oversee daily food service activities on-site at Naval Station Great Lakes. You will direct staff, implement policies, manage the department budget, and ensure compliance with government contracts and SOPs.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, an associates degree or equivalent, English proficiency, basic math and MS Office skills, and a valid driver’s license to operate a Goodwill vehicle across locations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent experience; minimum 5 years in a relevant role.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions in English.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Ability to perform basic math and manage budgets under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Goodwill vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily food service operations in accordance with contract requirements.
• Direct staff in development and implementation of policies and programs.
• Maintain operating budget and manage expenses; report budget performance.
• Ensure managers and staff comply with SOPs and government contracts.
• Run reports and complete required forms for Goodwill and Navy.
• Lead and develop talent; recruit and train staff as needed.
• Plan and manage projects and initiatives affecting department.
• Engage with community relations efforts and departmental improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Possess a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license for access to the naval base.
