Job summary

FRANK Gallery in Carrboro, NC is seeking a proactive Gallery Manager to oversee daily operations, customer service, and community engagement. This on-site role focuses on growing the gallery's audience, ensuring professional experiences for visitors, donors, and event attendees.

You will manage finances with the bookkeeper, supervise interns and volunteers, plan and execute events, and help expand fundraising efforts.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with art gallery operations or nonprofit work is a plus.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience with public speaking is a plus.
• Basic accounting experience, includes maintaining accurate financial records.
• Experience with QuickBooks online, and website management systems is a plus.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic environments.
• A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in event planning and customer service roles with retail experience.
• Proficiency in social media, event management tools, and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement procedures to ensure the gallery runs efficiently.
• Grow and develop the gallery; plan fundraising and donor development.
• Serve as the public face; build relationships with stakeholders.
• Provide excellent customer service to visitors and event attendees.
• Manage finances: budgets, performance, and records with the bookkeeper.
• Supervise interns, volunteers, and coordinating with member artists.
• Plan and execute gallery events from concept to completion.
• Support outreach via committees.
• Report to the Board of Directors and Membership.
