Job summary

Timken Company is seeking a Gauge Service Technician to prepare, calibrate, and maintain gaging for manufacturing processes. You will perform gauge setups, verify accuracy against drawings, and assist in issuing gauges to operators while maintaining records.

The role emphasizes safety, basic math, and use of standard gauges and fixtures. Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, familiarity with blueprints and GD&T, and basic computer and math skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of blueprints, drawings, schematics, and GD&T preferred.
• Basic mathematical and mechanical skills are required.
• Basic computer interface skills are required.
• Situational/Spatial awareness along with strict adherence to PPE/safety protocols is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Gauge Service operations, including simple setups and maintenance of gauges, fixtures, check devices, and special purpose instrumentation.
• Follow part drawings, charts, and specifications to set up gauging requirements; obtain components and make changeovers.
• Check setups against masters for accuracy and perform adjustments before release to operator.
• Assist in issuing gauges to machine operators and maintain required records.
• Inspect own work and report discrepancies; assist in training others as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with safety regulations.
