Timken is seeking a skilled Gauge Service Technician to prepare, calibrate, and maintain gauges for manufacturing processes. You will work from drawings, perform precise adjustments, and ensure accuracy against masters.

The role emphasizes safety, record-keeping, and collaboration with machine operators in a fast-paced industrial environment. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, basic math and computer skills, and familiarity with GD&T and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of blueprints, drawings, schematics, and GD&T preferred.
• Basic mathematical and mechanical skills are required.
• Basic computer interface skills are required.
• Situational/spatial awareness with PPE/safety adherence.

Responsibilities

• Perform gauge service operations, including simple setups and calibration.
• Set up gauges from drawings and specs; obtain components and materials.
• Check setups against masters for tolerance, squareness and alignment.
• Assist in issuing gauges to machine operators and maintain records.
• Inspect own work and report discrepancies; train others as required.
• Maintain records and keep work areas clean and safe per regulations.
