Job summary

Timken in Keene, NH seeks a qualified Inspector/Quality technician for 2nd shift to support product and customers by setting up, maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting gages. You will review drawings, instruct staff on measurement equipment, and maintain inspection records.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with good training and mentoring skills.
  • PPE/safety protocols must be followed.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret drawings, process sheets/routings, operating instructions, and specifications.
  • Assist and instruct associates in proper use of gages, measuring and testing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate daily inspection records.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
  • Perform testing/inspections using various test instruments per plans to verify conformance.
  • Process related documents as required and specified.
  • Train others in safety, quality, inspection, and testing as needed.

Shift: 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday- Thursday 3:00pm-1:00am, Friday overtime day.

Pay Range: $27.00-$33.50

Purpuse & Responsibilities

To support all product and customers by setting up, issuing, maintaining, calibrating & trouble shooting gages, measuring, testing equipment, and related work as required.

  • Review and interpret drawings, process sheets /routings, operating instructions, and specifications.
  • Assist and Instruct associates in the proper use of gages, measuring and testing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete daily inspection records.
  • Maintain work areas and equipment in neat and orderly manner.
  • Perform Testing / Inspections utilizing various test instruments and processes following established plans to determine conformance to specifications.
  • Process associated documents as required and specified.
  • Perform all tasks as assigned accurately with attention to detail per drawings, specifications, or other operational instructions.
  • Train other associates in safety, quality, inspection, testing, etc… as required.
  • This individual may generate and/or handle regulated (i.e. hazardous/non-hazardous) waste as part of this job. This must be disposed of in accordance with federal/state regulations.
Qialifications
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Tooling & Master Selection / Storage
  • Check in / out of Gage Control System
  • Setup, adjust, and maintain ID/OD/TD/TL Gages
  • Basic gage maintenance-preferred
  • Set up and basic troubleshooting on Mfg or Assy gages-preferred
  • Strong ability to read and interpret specifications, acceptance criteria, and engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team along with solid training and mentoring skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Situational/Spatial awareness along with strict adherence to PPE/safety protocols is required.
