Job summary

NSK seeks a Calibration Technician in Dyersburg, TN to monitor the calibration status of measurement, gaging and inspection equipment across the plant, including nut runners, load cells and LVDTs.

You will coordinate with outside contractors for 3rd-party calibrations, maintain calibration certificates and risk assessments, and support gauge control procedures with the Quality Lab and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the calibration status of measurement, gaging and inspection equipment across the plant, including nut runners, load cells and LVDTs.
• Maintain safety stock of hand gauges and replace shop floor gauges due for calibration as needed.
• Coordinate with outside contractors to calibrate all gauges that require 3rd party validation.
• Maintain accurate calibration certificates, risk assessments and gauge tracking software.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering with OK/NG master parts and maintain a log of devices for periodic validation.
• Examine measurement devices at prescribed intervals and record calibration activities for traceable history.
• Work with the Quality Lab supervisor to audit the shop floor and gauge usage to ensure gauge control procedure compliance.
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to sustain calibration schedules for manufacturing equipment.
• Organize and conduct measurement systems analysis for gauge families as needed.
