BlockReel is seeking a senior Gaffer for an independent production. You will design and execute lighting for interviews, product shots, and dynamic B-roll, while leading a small grip and electric team.

Collaboration with the Cinematographer and Director is essential to achieve a polished visual aesthetic. The ideal candidate has extensive corporate/commercial lighting experience, a strong portfolio, and ownership of a full lighting package suitable for studio and location shoots.

Illuminating innovation through compelling corporate narratives for a high-tech client. We're seeking a senior Gaffer for an independent production, collaborating with a small production company on an upcoming project. We need someone with a keen eye for polished, clean lighting, suitable for interviews, product shots, and dynamic B-roll. The project involves creating a series of promotional and internal videos for a prominent tech company. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a professional campaign with high production values. You will be responsible for designing and executing lighting setups, managing a small grip and electric team, and working closely with the Cinematographer and Director to achieve the desired visual aesthetic. We require a Gaffer with extensive experience in corporate and commercial video production, a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of lighting styles, and ownership of a comprehensive lighting package suitable for studio and on-location shoots (e.g., LED panels, HMI, tungsten, various modifiers). The shoot is currently penciled in for 1-2 days during the first half of November 2026, with an estimated 10-12 hour workday. We will provide power distribution, production insurance, and craft services. Compensation is $1000-1500/day, depending on experience and gear package.
