Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and GASB standards and accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Establishes procedures and internal controls for asset, liability, revenue and equity accounts.
• Accounts for revenues, expenditures, transfers, payables, receivables and inventory per GAAP/GASB.
• Verify source documents, codes, and ledger balances; reconcile subsystems to the GL.
• Prepare agency financial reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Monitor budgets, forecast cash and expenditures, and support program managers.
• Explain accounting policies to program staff and resolve discrepancies.
