Capstone On-Campus Management (COCM) seeks a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Birmingham/Vestavia Hills team. The role applies GAAP principles to prepare, analyze, maintain, and deliver complete financial reports for a portfolio of student housing properties, including regulatory and internal/external reports.

Based at our Vestavia Hills corporate office, you will work with a team of six accountants, support site management, coordinate with third-party auditors, and ensure timely close

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of GAAP and FASB regulations, including financial terms and methods (cash, accrual, full GAAP).
• Certified Public Accountant strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting/auditing experience in industry, firm, or financial institution.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly and annual GAAP-based financial statements.
• Provide guidance to departments on accounting treatment and reporting.
• Review transactions and provide accounting support.
• Prepare general ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor budget-to-actual variances monthly.
• Coordinate with third-party auditors and assist in year-end closing.
