Job summary

Friend Health is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting functions. The role involves reconciling general ledger accounts, recording journal entries, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring GAAP compliance.

You will collaborate with the Controller and Finance team to maintain accurate financial records and timely reporting. Ideal candidates have 4–7 years of accounting experience, CPA preferred, and knowledge of GL reconciliations, payroll-related accounting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field required; Active CPA license required.
• Four (4) to seven (7) years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, Accounts Receivable, and month-end close processes required.
• Experience with payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation, or payroll processing preferred.
• Healthcare, nonprofit, FQHC, or other regulated-industry accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly with supporting documentation.
• Research and resolve discrepancies and reconciling items.
• Prepare accurate and timely journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Enter, review, and validate journal entries in the general ledger system.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and deadlines.
• Perform Accounts Receivable functions, including recording and reconciling receivables.
