Job summary

FreedomCare in Georgia is seeking a State Adherence Specialist I to support ongoing compliance for the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program. This hybrid role combines in-office oversight in Douglasville with remote work, Monday–Friday 9AM–6PM ET, focusing on enrollment, documentation, and regulatory adherence across the care lifecycle.

You will coordinate with Operations and leadership to resolve deficiencies, maintaining audit-ready records while ensuring non-clinical escalations are handled

Responsibilities

• Own the administrative compliance monitoring of assigned cases through Pre-Care and On-Care lifecycles.
• Validate SFC authorization and member/caregiver eligibility including onboarding docs.
• Review enrollment and ongoing compliance documents; monitor time-sensitive requirements.
• Verify emergency and backup-care plans are maintained and coordinated.
• Audit records for required documentation, escalation, and corrective actions.
• Monitor HCBS requirements, member rights, HIPAA, and privacy standards.
• Provide guidance and stay current on program changes; suggest workflow improvements.
