Job summary

Rio Staffing is seeking an A&P Mechanic for a full-time, day-shift role in Austin, TX. The position focuses on front-line Airframe & Powerplant maintenance, ensuring zero-defect workmanship across the GA piston fleet.

You will perform phase inspections, diagnostics, and component repairs, while maintaining compliance with FAA requirements and OEM manuals. Strong safety discipline and meticulous record-keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Active FAA A&P certificate (in good standing).
• Verifiable hands-on experience maintaining general aviation piston aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive airframe and engine inspections in strict FAA alignment and OEM schedules.
• Isolate, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic system discrepancies on piston platforms.
• Service and overhaul piston powerplants and subsystems to maintain fleet readiness.
• Log all maintenance activities, work orders, and FAA airworthiness releases with precision.
• Enforce safety protocols and quality guidelines on every work order.
• Coordinate with hangar technicians to optimize workflow and align with flight line schedules.
