Job summary

UMP is seeking a senior FX supervisor to lead the on-screen FX for feature projects. You will design explosions, fire, smoke and water simulations, setting the look and ensuring high-quality renders for comp passes.

You will oversee the FX workflow across shows, review shots with the VFX supervisor, and coordinate with directors and clients. Proficiency in Houdini and related tools, plus strong communication in English, are essential for this remote, project-based full-time role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in visual effects for feature films or high-end series.
• Led FX work on at least two shows as a supervisor or lead.
• Plans FX approach with VFX supervisor and sets the look and standards.
• Confident communication in English with directors, producers, and clients.
• Genuine understanding of real-world physics and scale.
• Reusable setups (HDA) and optimisation experience.
• English at B1 level or higher for internal communication.

What we are looking for

• 8+ years in visual effects for feature films or high-end series, with at least two shows as a supervisor or lead
• Plans the FX approach of a show with the VFX supervisor, sets the look and the standards, reviews every FX shot before delivery
• Confident communication in English with directors, producers and clients
• Houdini simulations: Pyro, RBD, FLIP, Vellum
• Real-world physics and scale
• Reusable setups (HDA) and optimisation
• English at B1 level or higher: all communication inside the company is in English
