Job summary

UMP is seeking an experienced FX artist to take shots from brief to final, delivering explosions, fire, smoke, destruction, debris and water for large-scale action. You will work with Houdini simulations (Pyro, RBD, FLIP, Vellum) and create reusable HDAs while optimizing setups to meet tight project deadlines.

Remote, project-based, full-time role with English at B1+; working language is English. You can work from multiple regions including the United States and other listed locations.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years in production.
• Takes FX shots from brief to final on their own and meets deadlines.
• Solves technical problems and asks for help early.
• Houdini simulations: Pyro, RBD, FLIP, Vellum.
• Real-world physics and scale.
• Reusable setups (HDA) and optimisation.
• English at B1 level or higher: all communication inside the company is in English.
