Job summary

Wellington Management invites applications for a Currency Forward Specialist co-op within Trade Operations, part of Investment Operations. The role focuses on ensuring CLS matching for FX settlements and collaborating with custodians and brokers on post-trade issues.

The internship emphasizes exposure to global markets, interfaces with traders and sales assistants, and training on industry tools such as Global Link GTSS and CLS Dashboard.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
• Interest and understanding of financial markets and products is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work in a challenging fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with FX brokers, traders, sales assistants and custodians to ensure timely and accurate cash payments relating to foreign exchange.
• Monitor all CLS FX trade activity and ensure all eligible trades are matched in a timely fashion.
• Work with custodians and brokers to resolve issues related to settlement of FX trades.
• Help with the weekly review of physical mail.
• Ad hoc project work.
