Job summary

Citi seeks a Securities & Derivatives Associate Analyst in Getzville, NY to contribute to foreign exchange operations and processing. You will support traders, monitor FX trades, and assist in solving issues per established procedures while maintaining audit controls.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience working in Foreign Exchange Operations or related field.
• Ability to work in a structured, high volume, time sensitive, high risk and demanding environment
• Good analytical skills and positive attitude
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office – ie Word, Excel, Outlook

Responsibilities

• Foreign exchange processing execution
• Typically related to Foreign Exchange Operations
• Provide analytic support to traders and support review of FX trades
• Follows established procedures to identify problems related to foreign exchange confirmation and settlement that require investigation or research
• Assists in resolving problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents
• Provides assistance in the implementation of process improvements
• Minimizes risk to the bank through increased knowledge of procedural requirements - understands and monitors errors to adhere to audit and control policies.

• Timely management and escalation of all issues/discrepancies
• Demonstrates understanding of products and processes, and of how duties relate integrate with others in the team and closely related teams
• Utilizes strong communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills to interact with colleagues and stakeholders, and to exchange potentially complex sensitive information, while being sensitive to audience diversity
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
