Southern Regional Technical College is seeking a Federal Work Study student to support the Welding and Joining Technology lab. Under faculty supervision, you will help organize tools, maintain lab resources, and assist with routine tasks.

This hourly position is available to SRTC students only, pays $15 per hour, and requires enrolled status, good academic progress, and a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with routine lab setup, cleanup, inventory, and related activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct with students and staff.
  • Support lab operations and duties as assigned by faculty.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of Welding and Joining Technology faculty, the Federal Work Study Student provides general assistance in support of lab operations, including organizing lab resources, maintaining an orderly lab environment, and assisting with routine lab-related tasks.

Major Duties
  • Assists with organizing, preparing, and maintaining tools, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the Welding and Joining Technology Lab;
  • Assists with routine lab setup, cleanup, inventory, and other activities that support an organized, safe, and effective learning environment.
  • Acknowledges and maintains a clear distinction between professional and personal relationships with students;
  • Enhances the mission of the College by demonstrating willingness to work as a team player;
  • Complies with the policies and procedures of the College and the Technical College System of Georgia;
  • Maintains confidentiality;
  • Arrives at work on time;
  • Works a flexible schedule as needed;
  • Demonstrates professionalism in contact with students, coworkers and the public;
  • Displays cooperative, supportive and professional behavior toward colleagues and the administration;
  • Demonstrates willingness to be of service and exhibits pleasant and courteous behavior toward organizational coworkers and other public contacts;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
