Job summary

Deloitte's Government & Public Services GPS team is seeking a senior data scientist in the United States to help reduce fraud, waste, and abuse by building analytics tools and using multiple data sources. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in data science or analysis using Python and SQL
• 3+ years building analytics tools in Agile teams
• Must obtain and maintain required security clearance
• Travel 5-10% on average
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Support fraud, waste, and abuse reduction by developing data analyses from multiple sources
• Develop products from vulnerability identification through deployment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify challenges and opportunities in edit development
• Monitor product performance post-deployment and adjust based on metrics
• Own milestones and timelines for work products and communicate with leads
• Create and maintain product documentation per SOP and Jira/EML
• Learn and follow quality control protocols across the lifecycle
• Identify errors and report issues to leads
• Participate in internal stand-ups and external task meetings with stakeholders
• Provide mentorship to junior team members on development techniques
• Stay updated on industry trends to improve performance
