KACE Company is seeking a part-time Linguist for nationwide coverage to transcribe and translate Fuzhou language materials for law enforcement projects. The role may involve day or night shifts, with occasional weekends or holidays, and requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma, at least 1 year of translation experience, and strong English/Fuzhou linguistic and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must type 45 words per minute and have strong English/Fuzhou skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with translation experience.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust eligibility and pass background checks.
• Knowledge of Fuzhou colloquialisms and regional expressions.

Responsabilités

• Transcribe and translate live or recorded communications.
• Produce court-ready transcriptions with accurate formatting.
• Identify slang, codes, and colloquialisms for reporting.
• Maintain a master slang/code list and a voice library.
• Operate government-provided software and equipment as required.
• Meet daily transcription minimums and document work logs.
