Job summary

KACE Company is seeking a part-time Linguist for Fuzhou transcription and translation to support law enforcement projects nationwide. You will transcribe live and recorded materials, capture slang and coded language, and deliver court-ready documents with accuracy.

The role requires a minimum one year of translation experience, strong Fuzhou language skills, and ability to work up to 40 hours weekly with day or night shifts including weekends. Travel to client sites within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year translation experience in the required language.
• Knowledge of Fuzhou colloquialisms, slang terms, and regional expressions.
• Familiarity with SMS shorthand, social media terminology, and web chat communications.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in the target language, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Listen to live or recorded communications in Fuzhou and produce synopses and transcriptions.
• Communicate pertinent information to law enforcement personnel in a timely manner.
• Build and maintain a master list of slang terms and codes for the project duration.
• Transcribe and translate calls and documents as assigned by the supervisor.
• Produce court-ready transcriptions in the required format.
