Job summary

Futu US Inc. is seeking a Futures Operations Manager to oversee clearing and settlement of US futures trades, ensuring regulatory compliance and efficient processing. You will manage margins, reconciliations, risk controls, and process improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in futures clearing/back-office, strong leadership, and familiarity with CME Clearing. This role offers office locations in Jersey City, NJ or Dallas, TX, or remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in futures clearing, trade settlement, or back-office operations at a futures-related firm.
• Strong understanding of U.S. futures markets and clearing processes.
• Familiarity with exchange margining methodologies and risk management principles.
• Proficiency with clearinghouse systems (e.g., CME Clearing) and futures back-office platforms.

Responsibilities

• Clear and settle futures trades daily through firm’s clearing relationships and exchanges.
• Monitor margins and collateral, process margin calls, and manage settlements.
• Oversee trade, position, and cash reconciliations and daily balancing.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with CFTC, NFA, and exchanges; prepare reports and audits.
• Identify operational risks and implement controls to mitigate risk.
• Develop and improve clearing workflows and procedures for efficiency and automation.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to onboard and maintain back-office systems.
• Liaise with exchanges, vendors, and clients to resolve operational issues.
• Lead and develop clearing operations staff and define best practices.
• Create and update policies and procedures for futures trading and clearing.
