Job summary

Ignite is seeking a Futures Analyst and Editor to support the Space Warfighting and Analysis Center and Concepts and Technology Delta, developing the Future Operating Environment (FOE) for the US Space Force. You will lead editing efforts, craft publishable, decision-oriented papers, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary SMEs to inform senior Space Force decisions.

• Expertise in drafting, rewriting, and editing complex technical and strategic manuscripts.
• Strong proficiency in English grammar, syntax, style, and editorial standards.
• Ability to ensure continuity, lucidity, and precision in complex subject matter.
• Strong editorial judgment and ability to query authors for clarity and rigor.
• Knowledge across areas like US Joint Doctrine, Technological Transformation, Threat Assessment, Red Teaming, Economic/Trade Analysis, or related science fields.

Responsibilities

• Author original analytic papers on FOE topics, emerging tech, and strategic implications.
• Edit and refine team papers for clarity, rigor, and decision relevance.
• Translate technical findings into concise, persuasive narratives for decision makers.
