Job summary

M.C. Dean in Virginia is seeking a Deputy Project Manager in a training role to learn how to supervise project staff, prepare plans and budgets, develop detailed project plans, and analyze data. A BS in Engineering with 5+ years on electrical or construction projects is required.

You will support CPM scheduling and work with owners, contractors, and design professionals. You will run day-to-day project operations, manage change orders, track cash flow, maintain as-builts, and ensure timely

Qualifications

BS in Engineering (Preferred EE or Industry related degree) with 5+ years of experience.
Related Construction experience with five years' working for an electrical or construction contractor.
Experience with CPM Scheduling and contract drawings, subcontracts, addendums, specifications, change orders, RFIs, submittals.

Responsibilities

Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section of a project.
Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
Price, track and manage change orders.
Plan and monitor cash flow against cash expenses.
Maintain as-builts as work is completed; document project issues/conditions.
Plan and execute project completion and punch list.
Coordinate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve matters.
