Calpine is seeking a plant operator to assist in running and maintaining generating equipment. You will start/stop pumps and auxiliary equipment, monitor lubrication, record data, and inspect machinery for faults to ensure reliable power production.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and control systems, calibrating instrumentation, and assisting with turbine/generator synchronization while maintaining a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma, degree from technical/vocational school or equivalent.
• Requires zero to four years of related experience.
• Prefer some previous experience using test equipment and calibration appliances.
• Additional experience with machinery repair and control systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate plant equipment, starts and stops pumps and auxiliary equipment, checks lubrication and cooling.
• Take and record plant operating data and inspect equipment for faults.
• Perform diagnosis, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
• Calibrate and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems; monitor unit performance.
• Assist in synchronization of turbine/generator equipment and in switching operations.
• Maintain logs and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures for safe operations.
