ION Solar in Orem, Utah is seeking a Manager in Training to build a long-term leadership career. You will rotate into an operational department, work with an experienced manager, and receive structured training and coaching.

The program leads to an Operations Manager role, with advancement based on performance and the company's growth. We offer mentorship, hands-on leadership experience, and opportunities to impact customer experience and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of professional experience, preferably in operations, customer service, project coordination, or the solar industry.
• Demonstrated leadership potential with a desire to pursue a management career.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Comfortable working with data, metrics, and process improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn operational software platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Solar industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside an assigned department manager to learn daily operational responsibilities and leadership practices.
• Develop a thorough understanding of departmental workflows, processes, and performance expectations.
• Assist with coordinating daily team activities and ensuring operational objectives are met.
• Learn how to monitor and improve departmental KPIs.
• Participate in coaching, training, and developing team members under the guidance of your manager.
• Support process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand how departments work together to achieve company goals.
• Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
• Participate in leadership meetings, planning sessions, and operational reviews.
• Build the knowledge and leadership skills necessary to successfully transition into a management role.
