CRRC Sifang America in Illinois seeks a Logistics Supervisor to oversee ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing and shipping materials in the stockroom and yard. You will plan work, allocate tasks, and ensure accuracy and compliance with procedures.
You will run SAP reports and prepare Excel/Word reports, advise staff on handling stock, and coordinate with production, quality and procurement to manage inventories.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in the stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties.
Directly supervises union and non-union employees in the Logistics Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement, organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, as well as three years of relevant experience with strong communication, organization and leadership skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience working or/and supervising employees in a unionized environment is highly preferred. Proficient in Microsoft products(Word and Excel) is required.
