Job summary

Moby Dick House of Kabob is seeking a friendly and reliable cashier to join our fast-casual team. You will handle transactions accurately, greet guests, and help ensure a memorable dining experience.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays is helpful as we grow.

• Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash accurately.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash, credit, and other forms of payment.
• Ensure all orders are entered correctly and delivered to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and dining area.
• Assist with packing and handing off takeout and delivery orders.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
• Monitor inventory of front-end supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and sauces, and replenish as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.

Job Summary:
