Job summary

Archadeck Outdoor Living is seeking a skilled carpentry professional to lead residential building and remodeling projects in Newtown, CT. You will deliver finished work per contract specs, client expectations, and Archadeck standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating crews, reading drawings, maintaining safety and quality, and communicating with the franchisee. A CT license and workers’ comp are required for you and your crew.

Qualifications

• Thorough background in carpentry techniques, framing, and trim from foundation to roof.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and check take-offs.

• Valid CT contractor license (HIC) and workers compensation insurance for you and your carpentry assistant.

Responsibilities

• Check materials delivered against take-offs and inform franchisee of shortages.
• Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee.
• Maintain an orderly job site and ensure safety practices.
• Maintain positive relations with customers.
• Refer problems to the franchisee for resolution.
• Contact franchisee to resolve immediately.
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed.

  We are Archadeck Outdoor Living, North America's leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, hardscape patios, and shade structures.

We seek construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to work on our residential building & remodeling projects and capability to carry forward our design and build excellence and brand reputation. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck business team. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills with our team and clients and a strong work ethic with the ability to follow our documented processes and build specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate your employees to ensure they understand and work to construction drawings in compliance with the specified details
• Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information
• Check materials delivered against take-off and inform franchisee of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow
• Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee
• Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized
• Maintain positive relations with customers
• Refer all problems to the franchisee for resolution
• Contact franchisee if necessary to resolve immediately
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed

Compensation: $80.00 per hour
