Job summary

Archadeck Outdoor Living is seeking experienced subcontractor carpenters to join our residential outdoor living building and remodeling teams. You will deliver completed projects to contract specs and customer expectations, working within Archadeck processes and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of carpentry, knowledge of framing and decks, and access to essential tools and a vehicle. Compensation is hourly, and you’ll partner with our franchise on high-quality outdoor living

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ carpentry experience with structural framing and deck construction.
• Experience working with composite and PVC materials.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and take-offs.
• Own or have access to tools and equipment to complete projects.
• Own or have access to a truck or van for transportation.
• Must have General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance or ability to obtain.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Willing to learn and follow documented processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate your team to understand and work on construction drawings per details.
• Check drawings against sales design to ensure adequacy and accuracy.
• Check delivered materials against take-off and notify shortages to keep workflow.
• Establish and follow a schedule with Production Director/Project Manager.
• Maintain an orderly job site and ensure safety practices are used daily.
• Maintain positive relations with customers throughout the project.
• Refer all problems to the Production Director/Project Manager for resolution.
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed.

Due to increased demand, we are looking for additional seek subcontractor (1099) construction professionals/teams with established carpentry expertise to partner with us on our residential outdoor living building & remodeling projects. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck franchise. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic and the ability to follow our documented processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate your team to ensure they understand and work on construction drawings in compliance with the specified details


• Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information


• Check materials delivered against take-off and notify Production Director/Project Manager of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow


• Establish and follow a schedule with the Production Director/Project Manager


• Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized


• Maintain positive relations with customers


• Refer all problems to the Production Director/Project Manager for resolution


• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed

Qualifications

• At least 3 – 5 years’ experience carpentry experience with ability to demonstrate excellent techniques in structural framing, deck construction, working with composite and PVC materials, and foundation/footer layout


• Must own or have access to all tools and equipment needed to complete projects


• Must own or have consistent access to truck or van for transportation


• Must have or be willing to obtain General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance


• Clean and neat appearance


• Good communication and people skills


• Willing to learn and follow documented processes


• Ability to work with specified details and quality assurance checklists independently


• Ability to read and interpret plans and check take-offs

Ability to determine elevations

Compensation: $45.00 - $85.00 per hour
