Job summary

Archadeck Outdoor Living is seeking a skilled carpenter foreman for residential projects in the Burlington, MA area. Immediate start; you will lead crews, ensure work matches drawings, and deliver high-quality decks, porches and sunrooms with strong customer service.

The ideal candidate has established carpentry expertise, can read plans, lay out footings, manage schedules with the General Manager, and maintain a clean, safe job site while coordinating with sales and office staff to keep

Qualifications

• Residential carpentry experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid general liability insurance is a must.
• CSL is a plus but not necessary.
• Ability to follow documented processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employees to follow drawings and details.
• Check drawings against design plans for adequacy.
• Check materials against take-offs and report shortages.
• Establish and follow a schedule with the General Manager.
• Maintain an orderly, safe job site and positive customer relations.

We are Archadeck Outdoor Living, North America’s leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, hardscape patios, and shade structures.

We seek construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to work on our residential building & remodeling projects. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck franchise. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic and the ability to follow our documented processes. General Liability Insurance a must and Workmen's Comp. Insurance a plus. A CSL is a plus, but not necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate your employees to ensure they understand and work to construction drawings in compliance with the specified details
• Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information
• Check materials delivered against take-off and inform the General Manager of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow
• Establish and follow a schedule with the General Manager
• Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized
• Maintain positive relations with customers
• Refer all problems to the General Manager for resolution
• Contact General Manager if necessary to resolve immediately
• Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clean and neat appearance
• Good communication and people skills
• Willing to learn and follow documented processes
• Ability to work specified details and quality assurance checklist independently
• A thorough background in good carpentry techniques, framing, and trim, exterior and interior, the foundation through roof
• Ability to read and interpret plans and check take-offs
• Ability to lay out footings or foundations
• Ability to determine elevations
