Job summary

Smyrna-Clayton Coop invites high-potential leaders to join a 12-18 month General Manager Development Program aimed at preparing future leaders for multi-location cooperative operations. The program blends structured training, hands-on operational experience, and mentorship across agronomy, energy, farm supply, retail, and financial management.

Participants will rotate through departments, gain insight into budgeting and strategic planning, and build relationships with members and community

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred in one of the following areas: Agricultural Business, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience in leadership, supervisory, or project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

Participate in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
Develop supervisory and team leadership capabilities through coaching and workforce planning.
Lead projects and operational initiatives supporting cooperative goals.
Assist in hiring, training, and employee engagement activities.
Represent the cooperative in community events and member activities.
