Type One Energy Group is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for a 12-week summer contract (May 24, 2027 start) in Knoxville, TN or Madison, WI. You will support the Systems Engineering team with requirements, architecture, and process improvement while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and practices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline or a master’s in Systems Engineering/Industrial Engineering.
• Strong interest in systems engineering, requirements management, architecture, processes, or complex technical systems.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing and presentations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and cross-functional teammates.
• Willingness to learn new engineering tools, processes and concepts.

Responsabilités

• Support work in Cameo Systems Modeler on system requirements, functions, interfaces, and architecture.
• Assist with documenting and improving Systems Engineering processes, procedures, and workflows.
• Develop or enhance onboarding and training materials for Systems Engineering tools and practices.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for an assigned system, subsystem, or project.
• Gather and organize information with engineers and stakeholders to support systems engineering activities.
• Participate in team meetings and project discussions to gain exposure to the broader engineering organization.
