Xcimer Energy invites motivated engineering interns to join a 12-week program at our Denver, CO headquarters. You will contribute to designing and building laser-driven inertial fusion hardware and software across multiple disciplines, mentored by industry experts.

We seek students in mechanical, electrical, physics, nuclear engineering, or related fields with hands-on project experience and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in engineering, physics, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical skills outside classroom context.
• Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modeling and simulation.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Passion for fusion energy and problem solving.
• Available to work full-time onsite in Denver, CO.
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design and hardware development.
• Mechanical and thermal analysis using CAD/FEA tools.
• Systems engineering and integration.
• Manufacturing engineering involvement.
• Electrical engineering (pulsed power) involvement.
• Control systems engineering tasks.
• Computational/software engineering (simulations).
• Nuclear engineering and plasma/ optics related tasks.
• Support and participate in engineering disciplines as assigned.
