Job summary

A leading interior design company in New York is seeking an Assistant Sourcing Manager to support sourcing upholstered furniture. This role involves managing vendor relationships, coordinating RFPs, maintaining BOMs, and assisting with cost analysis. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of sourcing experience and a strong attention to detail. The position offers a hybrid work model and competitive compensation ranging from $55,000 to $65,000.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply-chain management, preferably in furniture or consumer goods.
• Familiarity with furniture construction and materials.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and evaluating upholstery manufacturers and material suppliers.
• Help draft RFPs, compare proposals and negotiate sample pricing.
• Update and maintain detailed bills of materials (BOMs).
• Work with suppliers to confirm packaging specifications and ensure packed goods meet standards.
