Job summary

Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Prep & Assemble Trainee to join our Operations Team at the Fort Mill site. The role involves unpacking, assembling, inspecting, and documenting furniture to ensure top-quality products before delivery to customers.

Ideal candidates will follow detailed assembly instructions, safely operate small power tools and hand tools, and collaborate with teammates. Physical effort includes lifting up to 75 pounds and working in a warehouse environment.

FURNITURE PREP & ASSEMBLE TRAINEE

AT A GLANCE:

Broad River Retail is currently seeking a Furniture Prep and Assembly Traineeto join our Operations Team. Theposition is responsiblefor assembling pieces of furniture to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.

DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:

• Unpacking and assembly of furniture in an organized manner
• Inspect furniture for damages
• Exercise proper product handling techniques
• Lift and move products up to 50 pounds, or more using appropriate tools
• Document complete work according to standardized procedures
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Ability to follow a detailed set of assembly instructions
• Ability to SAFELY use small power tools and hand tools
• Properly and safely use tools and box cutters
• Ability to stand, stoop, walk, and crouch, for an entire shift
• Willingness to collaborate with other teammates to perform task at hand

WORKPLACE ENVIROMENT:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring
• Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds
• Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday
