Broad River Retail is seeking a Furniture Handler Trainee to support our operations team at the Four Oaks distribution center. The role focuses on loading and unloading trucks, scanning inventory with an RF scanner, and inspecting merchandise for damages to ensure quality before delivery.

This contract-to-hire position offers weekly pay, benefits after conversion, and opportunities for growth within a company known for its Memory Makers culture and commitment to customers and communities.

FURNITURE HANDLER TRAINEEAT A GLANCE:Broad River Retail is currently seeking for a Furniture Handler to join our Operations Team. The position is responsible for unloading and loading furniture, scanning products into our distribution center’s inventory control system, and assessing merchandise for damages to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.DAY IN THE LIFE AS THIS MEMORY MAKER:Loads & unloads trucks at the warehouse loading dock without damaging productsUnload furniture manually or with hand trucksIdentify and communicate any physical damagesSort unloaded items on to carts by size, type, or product codeUse RF scanner to systemically receive inventoryMaintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanlinessExhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunitiesMaintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and warehouse safety guidelinesOperating recycling machinerySorting and processing dunnageFollow company attendance policyAll other duties as assignedMEMORY MAKER PERKS AND BENEFITS:Hourly Rate based on factors such as shift and location.
